“Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.” -Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Artists
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad. whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” – Andy Warhol
Industry Professionals
“We, the willing, lead by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.” – Konstantin Josef Jirecek
TroubleMakers International is a way for the Buffalo live music scene to come together to provide support for musicians, bands, artists, and industry professionals in our community through grants, access to a recording studio, and free gallery/practice space.
We are currently raising money through live shows with a focus on local bands. If you are interested in working, performing or live painting, please send an introduction and Youtube links/photographs to TroubleMakersBuffalo@gmail.com.
The hiring rate for bands is currently $400 for 2 90-minute sets and $100 for live painters, due to covid occupancy restrictions. That represents a guarantee of 50% of 100 tickets (sold out show) priced at $10 each. Any remaining door money after paying necessary industry professionals goes to help TMI secure space for operations.
